Though it still feels like the dead of winter throughout most of the country, Bass Pro Shops is trying to get us all thinking ahead with their massive Spring Fever Sale. Covering nearly every corner of their web store—from fishing and hunting gear, to camping, boating, and outerwear—this mega-sale includes discounts ranging as high as 60% off in some cases. There’s a lot to dig through so you’re going to want to start right on the home page, but we did notice a few key offerings in several categories worthy of specific mention.
When talking gear, a while back Bass Pro Shops launched their own Angler Jacket, and based on user reviews it’s an absolute home run that outranks similar jackets that cost a fair bit more. A water resistant shell, fleece inner lining, covered zippers, and Thermolite insulation make this jacket the perfect candidate for battling the elements regardless of the task at hand, and for the duration of this sale it is marked down by 50% from an already affordable $49.99 to a “how are they making money” $24.99.
On the fishing side (ice fishing, specifically) there are a handful of ice fishing huts that are seeing some hefty discounting, which is perfect if you’re looking to get out onto the ice before things finally start to thaw. On the more entry-level of the category, the Shappell Wide House 5500 Hub Ice Shelter is currently listed at $199.99 rather than its list price of $249.99. It features a fast pop-up design, and only weighs 22lbs, making it an easy item if you’re heading a good ways out onto a frozen lake.
For the hunters in the room, once again there’s a lot to choose from, however we did note that a good selection of about a half dozen electronic game calls are marked down in this sale. With markdowns bringing prices as low as $69.97, it’s a great time to upgrade to something more high tech than conventional calls. These units can store hundreds of different calls on them, and are operated via remote from as much as 150 yards away.
